Teaching at a riding school you constantly hear the complaint that children grow out of riding gear too quickly. My love of horses led me to train as a riding instructor and I always felt that riding could and should be more affordable. After all, why pay a fortune for expensive goods if you can have the same quality cheaper, delivered direct to your door.

I set up Horsepower Sportswear in September 2006 and it has been rapidly expanding since then. It was initially developed as a small business to supply local horse riders and owners in a fairly rural area. Previously, our only way of purchasing Horseware products was dealing with a company more than 200 miles away. I also noticed that there were few companies that were able to sell a full range of products. As a horse owner myself I found this very frustrating.

Horsepower Sportswear aims to address this with an extensive range of products with prices ranging from the cheaper to the more expensive brands. The suppliers I use do not sell direct to the public but the quality of their products made them obvious choices to help expand Horsepower Sportswear. I have every confidence that creating on-line purchasing for my business will be worth all the hard work. In the future I hope to expand further to offer a wider range including Joules, Kyra k etc....
